MURANO
This tiny Venetian island produces glass for more than eight centuries. The creations of an extreme refinement knew their peak from the XVIth century. The prestigious studios(workshops) - Ballarin, Barovier and Toso, Seguso, Venini - are still present. Designers and ceramists collaborate with the master glaziers for the realization of oeuvres of authentic art. The Museum of the glass to the Palace Giustiniani shelters not less than 4000 peaces from the antiquity to our days.
