Archimède Seguso (1909-1999)
Master glassmaker of the firm "Seguso Vetri d'Arte" in 1933 to 1945, it was in 1946 that he founded his own glassworks of which he was responsible for the artistic direction. In the 1950s he renovated the ancient watermark technique that he applies to pieces with asymmetrical shapes. He participated in numerous exhibitions, notably at the Venice Biennale in 1952. Gino Seguso inherited one of the most prestigious glassworks in Venice from his father, who died in 1999.
