André-Aleth Masson (1919-2009)
After his apprenticeship, André-Aleth Masson, married to Denise Masson, a painter he met at the Beaux-Arts, moved to Vincennes where he occupied a ceramics studio, equipped with a kiln. In 1950, André Aleth Masson exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants. His style quickly evolved towards abstraction, and he developed an art that took into consideration form for form's sake, without seeking figuration, or simply seeking a fleeting evocation. This new research naturally led him towards sculpture and architectural creation.
